Teleflex Incorporated is a leading global provider of medical devices for critical care and surgery. Teleflex employs approximately 11,500 people worldwide and serves healthcare providers in more than 130 countries.

The acquisition is consistent with the company’s strategy to invest in late-stage, innovative technology to support its future growth. With the acquisition of the EZ-Blocker, Teleflex strengthens its Anesthesia product portfolio. The Ez Blocker is a hybrid one lung ventilation/separation device. The EZ-Blocker overcomes the traditional draw backs of bronchis blockers as well as double lumen tubes. With an easier placement than any blocker and superior lung collapse compared to the double lumen tube, EZ-Blocker appeals to both the anaesthesiologist as well as the thoracic surgeon more space to perform strategy.
